You tie a knot on a piece of rope, and explain to the spectator that you’ll attempt to not only make the ring penetrate the rope, but also end up inside the knot.

Despite sounding impossible, the magic happens right in front of the spectator. You untie the knot to show it is a real knot and that the ring is, in fact, caught on the rope inside the knot.
